As we come to the end of the 2nd Term 2017, we thank God for what we have been able to achieve and for the many blessings we have received as a school. We appreciate your support.
- CLOSING DAY
The school has closed for August holidays on Friday 28th July, 2017 at 8.30 a.m.
- ACADEMIC PROGRESS REPORT
The students have carried with them their 2nd Term Academic Progress Report Forms. Form four students have carried a Report Form based on Pre-trial exams. The Trial examinations results will be availed as soon we open. Please encourage them to maintain the revision tempo even as they take a holiday break.
- HOLIDAY ASSIGNMENT
Holiday assignments will be accessed online on http://moiforcesacademy.co.ke /moiforcesportal. Every student will copy and write answers in the summary note books which will be checked on reporting back to school.
NB: The website can open on a mobile phone.
Kindly buy the following items: (one per every subject) 1. Spring files 2. A4 200 page exercise books (summary note books) – Form 1(11) Form 2 & 3 (8 per student)
- FORM 4 REQUIREMENTS
Form 4 should bring the following KCSE Exam materials:
- Fx – 82 ms calculators
- 30 cm transparent ruler
- KNEC mathematical table (latest edition)
- Geometrical set
- Enough blue pens
- Enough pencils
- SCHOOL FEES
Fees arrears and third term fees will be communicated through SMS. If there is any omission, kindly contact the Accounts Office. All fees should be cleared on or before reporting back.
NB: All monies should be paid in form of Bankers Cheque in favour of Moi Forces Academy, Nairobi or cash deposit in National Bank of Kenya A/C No. 01003002835300, Harambee Avenue Branch. original pay in slips should be availed to the school on the first day of opening. Please note that cash and personal cheques will not be accepted.
- TRANSITION INFRASTRUCTURE GRANTS (TIGS)
The school received Kshs.16M from the Ministry of Education (MOE) for expansion of school infrastructure in order to enable increase in Transition of Learners from Primary to Secondary to 100% by 2018.
Parents and BOM had given No.1 priority as the construction of a New Dormitory but the MOE has advised and recommended the construction of classrooms and laboratories as the immediate project for the school.
The process has started.
- VOLUNTARY COMMUNITY SERVICE
Parents and guardians are requested to encourage their sons to participate in community service during the holiday, a form has been provided for that purpose. It is important to note that community service is now compulsory. It gives an added advantage during selection/interviews in other institutions.
Parents and guardians are advised to replace items of school uniform including shoes and socks for those students who may have outgrown/worn out uniform. Students must not interfere with the design of the uniform e.g. by piping the trousers.
All non-uniform (home clothes) must not be brought to school.
- PUBLIC PROPERTY
Encourage your son always to respect school property and other students’ items.
- POLITICAL RALLIES
During this holiday, discourage your son from attending any political meeting or political gathering.
- OPENING DAY
The school will open on Tuesday 29th August, 2017. Please accompany your son to school for reporting before 4.00 p.m. He should have a clean shaven head, smartly dressed and with all learning requirements to last for the whole term. Please ensure that your son does not bring unauthorized/contraband material to school viz. mobile phones, pocket radios and any other gadgets as stipulated in our school rules.
- THIRD TERM CLOSING DAY
Forms 1, 2 and 3 students will close on 27/10/2017.
Form four students will sit for their last KCSE paper on 29/11/2017 and thereafter they will go home.
